This one day workshop is designed for contemporary and clinically trained Pilates teachers to experience the Classical system and understand the philosophy behind the traditional method.
In this workshop, we’ll look at how Classical Pilates works as a system and how the Reformer and Mat-work provide the backbone of the system, supported by the other apparatus in the studio.
You’ll discover how the Classical Reformer differs from it’s contemporary counterpart and how it changes the feel of well known exercises such as the 100 and Short Spine Massage
How we use the Mat and Reformer workouts to decide what exercises to give our clients on the other apparatus to build strength and connection to the entire Pilates system.
How lesser known apparatus such as the Baby Arm Chair or Foot Corrector can play a large part in developing your client’s skill set and help them reach their goals for a balanced physique
How concepts such as the ‘Centreline’, ‘2 way stretch’ and ‘Wrap’ can help clients feel more stable to work deeper into their bodies
Understand the philosophy on how to progress a client using the different apparatus in the Classical Pilates system
This workshop is perfect for those curious about the Classical system but are unable to participate in a more comprehensive teacher training.
